Tree Plantation Drive at NSIT-IFSCS on World Environment Day 2026

Ahmedabad, June 5, 2026: On the occasion of World Environment Day, a Tree Plantation Drive was jointly organized by NSIT-IFSCS and the Gujarat forest department at the NSIT-IFSCS Campus. The event was conducted with the objective of promoting environmental sustainability, ecological conservation, and creating awareness about the importance of preserving nature.

 

Faculty members, officials, staff, researchers, and students enthusiastically participated in the plantation activity. Various indigenous and environmentally beneficial saplings were planted across the campus premises, symbolizing a collective commitment towards a greener and healthier future.

 

The dignitaries emphasized the importance of environmental protection and encouraged everyone to actively contribute towards increasing green cover and maintaining ecological balance. They highlighted that tree plantation is not merely an activity but a long-term investment in the well-being of future generations.

 

The event served as a reminder of the shared responsibility of educational institutions and government organizations in addressing environmental challenges and fostering sustainable development. Participants pledged to nurture the planted saplings and continue supporting environmental conservation initiatives throughout the year.

Day 1 (9th April 2026)

The Three-Day Hands-on Training Program on Environmental Toxicology & Pollution Monitoring commenced successfully at Narayan Shastri Institute of Technology – Institute of Forensic Science and Cyber Security .

The first day, themed “From Matrix to Digestion”, laid a strong foundation with insightful sessions by Prof. (Dr.) Man Singh  on toxicants and analytical approaches, Dr. Shivani R. Pandya  on advanced detection techniques, and Dr. Sachin Dev  on sample preparation and digestion methods.

Participants actively engaged in hands-on sessions , marking an impactful and promising start to the program .

Day 2 of the training program at Narayan Shastri Institute of Technology – Institute of Forensic Science and Cyber Security focused on “From Digest to Spectral Signal” , emphasizing analytical precision and practical skills.
Dr. Geeta Gupta  conducted sessions on Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) , while Dr. Bharat Makwana  delivered engaging lectures and practical training on UV-Visible spectrophotometry , supported by Dr. Shivani Pandya.
The day was marked by intensive hands-on learning  and enthusiastic participation.

Day 3 (11th April 2026)

The training program concluded successfully on Day 3 at Narayan Shastri Institute of Technology – Institute of Forensic Science and Cyber Security  with the theme “From Absorbance to Chemical Meaning”.

Advanced analytical techniques were explored through sessions by Dr. Niha Ansari , Dr. Neel Mani Srivastava , and Prof. (Dr.) Dinesh Kumar, focusing on spectroscopy , instrumentation ️, and modern analytical approaches.

The valedictory session was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Sailesh Iyer , marking the successful completion of a highly enriching academic journey.

NSIT-IFSCS, through its LearnXchange Club, proudly hosted a seminar on:

“AI Skills and Career Opportunities in the Domain of AI & ML and Cyber Security”

Successfully Completed One-week national-level Short-Term Training Programme (STTP) titled “AI Sentinel: Pioneering Cybersecurity & Digital Investigation”, sponsored by Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST), was successfully organized by the Department of Cyber Security and Digital Forensics at Narnarayan Shastri Institute of Technology-Institute of Forensic Science and Cyber Security (NSIT-IFSCS) under the aegis of the IEEE Gujarat Section.

 

The program offered hands-on exposure to AI applications in cybersecurity and digital forensics, bridging theory with industry practice. Key areas included AI-driven security, digital investigations, OSINT, forensic documentation, deepfake detection, and emerging law enforcement challenges.

NSIT-IFSCS successfully organized a hands-on training session for faculty members on MyFRT – a Unified Digital Forensics Platform, under the MoU collaboration with Karpuragaur.ai India Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, strengthening practical exposure to digital forensics tools.

 

The session provided valuable insights into digital forensics workflows, including data acquisition, analysis, recovery, disk imaging, and secure remote access—enhancing practical understanding of modern digital investigation tools.

Entrepreneurship Hunt 2026: Where Ideas Met Execution

NSIT-IFSCS, Jetalpur, Ahmedabad successfully organized “Entrepreneurship Hunt” on 31st January 2026 — a hands-on learning experience where ideas met execution.

 

With 12 student-run stalls and a total turnover of ₹38,000, students showcased real-time entrepreneurial skills in planning, pricing, marketing, and operations. From food to games, creativity was on full display.
