Faculty Profile: Dr. Kalpesh Solanki joined the Forensic Science Department at NSIT as an Assistant Professor. He is an enthusiastic researcher and student-centred academician. Dr. Solanki brings over 12 years of teaching experience from Gujarat University and Rashtriya Raksha University. He has mentored undergraduate, postgraduate, and MPhil students. He has designed and delivered advanced forensic science curricula, encompassing a wide range of subjects including Forensic biology, Toxicology, Pharmacology, Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), DNA fingerprinting, and Forensics.
In addition to his extensive academic contributions, Dr. Solanki possesses over 13 years of industrial research experience from Parikh Pathology Laboratory. His industrial work specialised in forensic and diagnostics, biochemical analysis, and NABL-accredited quality management. A proven leader in both academia and industry, Dr. Solanki’s commitment to fostering research-driven education is evident in his impactful publications and patents, which include pioneering work on deep learning for cancer genome analysis and machine learning for antimicrobial resistance. His dedication to developing forensic methodologies and enhancing laboratory excellence makes him a highly valuable addition to the faculty.
