Day 2 – Investigator’s Mindset, DNA & Forensic Entomology

🔹A powerful and inspiring session by Dr. Keshav Kumar, IPS (Retd.) transformed perspectives on wildlife crime investigation.

🔹Through the legendary 2007 Gir Lion Poaching Case, officers learned how DNA, bloodstain analysis, pugmarks, and fingerprints can turn forests into scientifically mapped crime scenes—bridging suspicion to conviction.

🔹Dr. Kalpesh Solanki conducted an advanced masterclass on DNA as Evidence, species identification, and biological evidence handling.

🔹Dr. Gaurang Sindhav decoded Forensic Entomology, explaining PMI estimation and differentiation between natural death and poaching.

Day 3 – Cyber Forensics, AI & Hands-On Field Training

🔹Dr. Nikunj Tahilramani and Shri Vinay Aseri showcased the role of Cyber Forensics & AI in tracking wildlife crime networks.

🔹Under Shri Anant Patil and Shri Aaromal Venugopal, officers participated in intensive practicals—grid searches, scene cordoning, evidence collection, packaging, forwarding, and maintaining chain of custody.

🔹Participants lauded the customized content, real-world case studies, and hands-on approach, making the training impactful and operationally relevant.

Achieving Considerable Milestone in Wildlife Conservation Training
